Hello! My name is Zach and I am so excited to be joining the Upward Bound summer team for a second summer in a row! I have been a science teacher in Alaska for the last 6 years in Seward and Saint Mary's. When I am not working, I love being outside in the mountains! In the winter time I really enjoy snowboarding with my wife (who is also a coach this summer!) And in the summer when I am not working with the coolest high school kids out there I really enjoy hiking and foraging in the mountains and just enjoying the Alaskan summer. I cannot wait to get started and work with all of the amazing students we have brought into this year's program!
